May Flowers - 2012
Today we traveled to, too many places with LOLA, our rescued Staffordshire Bull Terrier, in the front and back seats of the car. Just before we made it home...she upchucked. She tried really hard to get home but didn't quite make it. She is such a good dog and tries to please us. When she thinks she's in trouble she grabs up her baby (her toy) and goes to her bed in our bedroom and we have to plead with her to come out. She is so opposite the stereo type of pit bulls. Loves our grandkids and babies. Doesn't like tall, thin, men with hats and sunglasses. Wish I knew her background. I'd hit the man that hurt her over the head.

March 29, 2013- A New Card Completed
Something new I worked on yesterday. I got the graphic from an ad from Worldwildlife.org. The 2 penquins, one in black and one in sepia were so cute I could not throw them away. I admit, though, I did add glue and embossing powder to the spots on the penguin's back. My hubby like this card because of the black and white and "red" all over quality of the card. Of course, he is a bit prejudiced. SMILE Kudos to Cricut for the hi!, Stampin' Up for the inside stamp & Recollections brads.
Hope you like it, too.

March 25, 2013 --- NEW SITE DISCOVERED
Today Google introduced me to a new site as a source to follow when posting in my BLOG.
Darla Sue Dollman's Wild West History site http://www.wildwesthistory.blogspot.com/
This cactus flower was one of her original photos shown on her website. Isn't it beautiful?

I love all things Indian and enjoy reading all the fictional and nonfictional lore concerning Indians and the West. Just reading about them gives me ideas for cards I want to make in the future. She is a writer of Western lore and posts many original pictures on her blog. The above picture is from a Google search and was not found on her site.

MelisCreations
March 16th and I'm still fooling around with this BLOG.
The expression on my face says it all.
Heh, maybe I can use this for some Halloween cards this year.
I know I have a nephew that would love this pose.

Blogging Along
I've read enough BLOGS lately to float a battleship. Today, I decided to start one of my own so here goes............
Creating things is my game. Since I was a little girl I always designed cards for people for birthdays and other celebrations. I drew homemade paper dolls and designed their different outfits, made homemade wrapping paper for gifts that I gave to people and treated my teachers over the years to homemade corsages for every occasion I could think. (When I think back on some of those...well let's just say my teacher's deserve a medal for their graciousness).
As an adult, I have narrowed my interests to paper items, i.e. greeting cards, brochures, wrapping paper, etc. So this blog will be devoted to those interests. WELCOME ABOARD...I'd love some feedback. ~~MelisCreations
